the otherwhirled

where nothing is real, and nothing else is sacred.

Justice? My ass.

José, can u c...? please allow me to turn your attention to a very worthy read by Scarecrow. there’s no way in hell i’d ever try to paint Padilla as a hero, so don’t misinterpret this image. on the other hand, as Scarecrow so eloquently points out, there’s no way in hell you can objectively interpret what our government did in this case as “justice”.

and that’s really all i’m saying.

although of course the pun and the alliteration to an old joke are entirely intentional.

  1. the truth is we will never know the truth. funny how cons want to go with what the “jury said,” but seemed to forget that mantra when libby was convicted.

  2. I’ve read about how they kept him in isolation and that Padilla reached a point where he was defending the president etc. for prosecuting him. So very 1984. We read that book and thought it was a cautionary tale. Cheney et al read the book (W had the comic book version) and saw it as a how-to manual.
