Because, remember folks: when you buy a bazillion of these new stamps at $0.41, that’s a hell of a lot more stamps than have traditionally been purchased at the beginning of each new stamp-cycle in the past. Your convenience is still a function of their profit. It’s almost inspiring, how the grand and admirable tradition of service of the old Pony Express has turned into just another monopoly, huh?
